OFM - during the Covid lock in days..
*OFM (Thiruvanmiyur)* - Organic Farmers market shall be open tomorrow (10th april, Friday) morning 9.00am till 1.pm.
We will have only dry groceries tomorrow.
Due to the Covid crisis, we are reorganising and our order & delivery will be different from normal. Kindly cooperate. You will give ur orders in writing and one of our people will take, pack and bill and give them to you, all the while no customer will be allowed inside the store. We will have to be at the verandah/lawn side. Thanks for ur understanding.
*To enable this we request you to call ( 9790900887 or 6380169943). * Pls note that we shall regulate the entry and hence coordination is better. Hope you all understand the situation and kindly cooperate.
*Vegetables and fruits shall arrive on 11th April, saturday morning 10.00 am (till 1PM).*
To avoid crowding and touch, we are trying a new way.
We shall pack around 4-5kgs of vegetables ( a combo: 1/2 kg each of potato, onion, tomato and 1/4 KG of each from 3 local and 3 hill veg.. depending on the availability one keerai, pudhina, coriander, garlic and ginger will be added / all these shall be prepacked in a cotton bag and set aside. This shall be charged Rs300/bag. One can choose to buy one or more according to their necessity.
This shall ease our vending.
Pl note that this cotton bag costs Rs 20/- U can return the bag next time for us to wash, sun dry and reuse.
Alternately requesting those of you who have some cotton bags (small ones that can hold up to 5 kgs) to bring and give it to us, so that we can pack veg and other stuff for ppl.
(NO! *The non-woven is not eco foriendly. * Its chinese, poly propelene and takes more time than the poly ethylene plastic bags. So avoid them always. )
*OFM as always pitches in during these times of crisis * and has been working with groups that are donating dry groceries and veggies to the stuck migrant labours or for the other urban poors/daily wagers etc. We bring more vegetables along and are donating to various groups that are helping these poor. Pl ask for the Donation box and contribute (in cash for now). This will help to reach food for many deserving fellow citizens.
